Wish I'd paid attention to the warning signs before getting stuck at night**

Just spent two hours waiting for roadside assistance last night in a parking lot and honestly it was completely avoidable if I'd been paying attention. Car started fine in the morning, drove to work no issues, but when I came out around 8pm after dinner with friends, absolutely nothing when I turned the key. Just complete silence, no crank, no click, nothing. Had to get a jump start from a guy passing by and drove straight to a battery shop before heading home. The guy there tested my old battery and showed me it was basically dead, only holding like 10% charge. Looking back there were definitely Tips for identifying battery problems early that I completely ignored. The last few weeks my car was cranking slower in the mornings, the interior lights seemed dimmer, and my radio presets reset twice which I blamed on my kids messing with the car. All obvious signs now that I think about it but at the time I just didn't connect the dots. Anyone else been guilty of ignoring the little warnings until it's too late? Feels like one of those lessons you learn the hard way and then never forget. At least now I know what to watch for next time.
