Explain over-under in Baseball sportsbook
I recently started watching baseball and have been trying to figure out all of the pre-game statistics. Also I make predictions on sportzino from time to time. Honestly, I’m a little confused, especially when I come across explanations like "what is a baseball over/under" on their blog, It looks simple, but I'm not shure how it works or how to use it. As I understand it, it's not about who wins, but rather, the total number of runs in the game. In other words, you have to determine whether the total will be higher or lower than a certain number set in advance. But here’s what confuses me: What does this number depend on, and why does it change? For now, I just look at it as an additional statistic, but I’d like to learn how to use it for analysis. So, I’d like to ask those of you who follow baseball: Do you pay attention to these metrics?

Yes, it’s normal to be confused at first. Over/under is really about the total number of runs in a game, not the winner. They set the number based on many factors: the offensive strength of both teams, the starting pitchers, the players’ form, the stadium (some are more “run-friendly”), and even the weather. It also changes based on other people’s predictions. I pay attention to this because it’s a good indicator of expectations for the game, especially compared to the teams' actual performance.
